Bolinas waterfall hike12/4/2023 The challenging 5.8-mile Barnabe Peak trail rewards you with beautiful views of the San Geronimo Valley. Definitely stop by here if hiking is your passion. Half an hour north of Bolinas, you'll find Samuel P. This is a better choice if you're looking for easy access to the water. Head 10 minutes the other way on Olema Bolinas Road to reach broad, sandy Stinson Beach. Call ahead to make reservations if possible! Note that Point Reyes' proximity to San Francisco makes it a very popular destination. You can also reach some beach camping areas by boat. Much of the area is only accessible by foot, bike, or horseback. This area's a great choice if you're into camping in the backcountry. Point Reyes National Seashore is just 10 minutes north on Olema Bolinas Road. If you're driving into Bolinas, keep in mind that there are no road signs for it! While people here are friendly, they're notoriously protective of their secluded culture. It's about 90 minutes north of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. The isolated coastal town of Bolinas in California's Marin County has only 1,600 residents. We are also close to Tomales and Bodega Bays and towns, redwoods, excellent vineyards and breweries, and San Francisco! The Phillip Burton Wilderness features extensive trails through grassland, firs and pine forest, and up to the peak of Mount Wittenberg. On a rocky headland, the 1870 Point Reyes Lighthouse is a viewpoint for migrating gray whales. Beaches here include Wildcat Beach, with the cliffside Alamere Falls. Point Reyes National Seashore is a vast expanse of protected coastline in Northern California’s Marin County. A short trip to the Pacific coast and the fabulous Pt. This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for your additional tents if desired. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day.Įach canvas tent comes with a queen-size bed, futon lounge chairs, rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. The cost is $125 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $100 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). In our family-friendly campground, we installed three 16-Foot Canvas Glamping Tents, replete with warm and cozy furnishings, and other amenities you will love. We have three lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country.
